March 24th letter

To start things off, Elder Arko found out about transfers! He was sure he would be staying in his current area, but as fate would have it, there was a twist thrown in for him. Elder Arko was called by the President on Tuesday morning and told that he will be going into the mission office as a secretary. That means he will be packing AGAIN and saying goodbye to people he's grown close to in the short amount of time he's been there. Elder Arko has made promises to go back to this area sometime. Elder Arko even told the President that he should send him back there since his time there was so short.

This is going to be a whole new challenge/experience for Elder Arko. As a secretary Elder Arko will be a half missionary half office worker. So he'll still be proselyting, but not as much as usual. He will also be helping all the missionaries in the mission with supplies, travels, and other things that are basically paper work. Elder Arko is a little apprehensive, but feels optimistic about it as well since he has done similar work. So that was the bombshell of the transfer right there! Elder Arko was so surprised!

Now on to the rest of the week; as you know Elder Arko's year mark was a while ago, but he celebrated it last P day. Here is a picture of Elder Arko burning his shirt.

Unfortunately you can't really see Elder Arko in it, but he says it's him :)

This is Victoria with Elder Arko and his companion. She went up to Elder Arko and his companion in priesthood and asked them in the sweetest little girl voice with the most of her lower lip showing as possible,"I don't have a teacher today, will you two come and teach my class?" How could they say no to that? Well, she thought they had candy, but they still had fun. She was really sweet, but she is one of those girls that just knows how to work people how she wants :) but it was still good.

Now Elder Arko is spending his time saying goodbye to a LOT of people. This area was really fun for Elder Arko and he found a few friends that he hopes to see again! That's all for this week!
