March 1st letter

So the weather in Sweden is starting to calm down. It's starting to warm up with just a little bit of rain so it's kind of slushy. The wind has been a little cold, but not bad. Elder Arko's area is really close to the ocean, but right now it's frozen so He can't really see it right now. He can't tell what is a field and what is an ocean. However, He's heard that it's going to be very beautiful in a month or two: if He's still there by that time.

The Elders have sharpening this week so Elder Arko and Elder Depew are going to be taking a few days off to go to that plus they have stake conference so the two of them will probably just stay there for that as well.

The Elders had a great time this Sunday as they had two investigators in church. One did not speak Swedish, so they had to have a translator. That situation was complicated even further by the fact that the Elders had to teach a lesson, both of them were giving talks, and Elder Depew was selected to play the piano. So, it was a fun time juggling their investigators and enlisting the help of others with translating. Both the investigators seemed to enjoy themselves and Elder Arko and Elder Dephew had a great time with them there. One investigator really enjoys church and told the Elders he is going to be coming every week.

Elder Arko is getting used to driving in Sweden now and it seems to be coming easier, everything is just a little different. Another adventure the Elders had involved acting like secret agents. They gave an investigator family and a family with a less active member some baked goods as an anonymous service which was pretty fun. Making it a secret agent activity made it that much more fun. Elder Arko did the James Bond -dun dunla dun nu nu dun dunla dun- (those of you familiar with James Bond 007 Goldeneye will get this pretty easily :)

The Elders also had a little boxing match where Elder Arko was the judge and Elder Depew got to spar one of the members there. Elder Arko thinks He might have himself a new career; He's already used to wearing a suit so all He has to do now is learn how to tie a bow tie and He'll be set for a long time!

No pictures this week, sorry.
